Jamille is a furniture and lighting designer and manufacturer, based in Germantown, NY. Inspired by Japanese and mid-century modern style, Jamille creates stunning pieces with traditional workmanship and unexpected elements.

After 20 years in Brooklyn, Jamille and his wife Catherine and their puppy El Dorado moved to the Hudson Valley. His new new wood and metal shop housed in a historic apple packing house a mile from the Hudson river is scheduled to open for custom work and commissions summer 2023.

Raised in Vermont, Colorado and Nova Scotia, Jamille grew up in a family of electricians, builders, sailors, campers and home flippers. His great great great grandfather was Thomas Kemp--a famous ship builder known for designing the Pride of Baltimore. From an early age Jamille was interested in architecture and design, but wanted to make things himself, on a human scale.  His love for electronics and new technologies has most recently led him into innovative lighting designs, making his own LED heat sinks and water cooling systems by hand, experimenting in glass, metal, and wood.
